What horses can benefit from massage?
All equines regardless of age or exercise level can benefit form massage. From minis, drafters, horses, donkeys and mules.

How often should my horse get a massage?
It depends on the workload of your horse, how long the condition has existed, age and disposition.

Why Sports Massage?
Sports Massage focuses on the cause of muscle injury with the intent of not just relieving muscular pain, but as well as in the prevention of future injuries to muscles.

What do I need to do after the massage?
Your horse must be walked for at least five minutes after a massage. I am not able to do this. Having someone there to walk the horse after is important.

Can I ride my horse after a massage?
Yes. After a minimum five minutes hand walk you can ride first at a free walk or trot then you can ride as usual.

When should a horse not be massaged?
Massage should not be administered when a horse has fever or shock.

Massage is not a substitute for veterinary medicine. Always consult your veterinarian or farrier for a diagnosis.
